About the Canon PowerShot ELPH 350 HS (IXUS 275 HS)
Released in February 2015, the PowerShot ELPH 350 HS is known as the IXUS 275 HS outside North America and as the Canon IXY 640 in Japan. Unlike the CCD models around it, this one uses a 1/2.3-type BSI-CMOS sensor of about 20 megapixels.
The 12x optical zoom covers 25-300 mm in 35mm-equivalent terms, with an aperture of F3.6-7, a practical range for travel, family photos and general use. It has a 3-inch monitor, a size that makes framing easier, and the body is just 100 x 58 x 23 mm and about 147 g. The battery is the NB-11LH, and images are written to SD, SDHC or SDXC cards.
Buying one used
Confirm the NB-11LH battery and its charger. Run the 12x zoom end to end for sticking or odd noise, inspect the lens and the 3-inch monitor for marks, and test the SD slot.
