About the Fujifilm FinePix F650 Zoom
The Fujifilm FinePix F650 Zoom was released in February 2006 as a compact with a 1/2.5-type CCD of about 6 effective megapixels. Its lens covers 36-180 mm in 35 mm terms, a 5x optical zoom, with an aperture range of F2.8-4.7, so the long end reaches 180 mm.
The body measures 105x61x31mm and weighs about 200 g, with a 3-inch screen on the back. It uses the dedicated NP-40 battery and records to xD-Picture Card media. The body is a little thicker to hold the 5x zoom lens, but that reach is useful at school sports days or for distant views on a trip, where you cannot walk up to the subject.
Buying one used
The battery is the dedicated NP-40 and media is xD-Picture Card. Check how the 5x lens extends, how it behaves at the long end, the 3-inch screen, and whether your xD card loads.
