About the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH2 (Lumix DMC-FS16)
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH2 (Lumix DMC-FS16), released in January 2011, is a slim compact with a 1/2.33-inch CCD sensor of about 14 megapixels. Its lens is a 4x optical zoom covering 28-112 mm in 35mm terms at F3.1-6.5.
The body is 94 x 54 x 19 mm and weighs 121 g, with a 2.7-inch monitor. It accepts SD, SDHC and SDXC cards, so high-capacity media can be used. The 28 mm wide end is well suited to rooms and landscapes, and 112 mm is enough for framing portraits from a comfortable distance. The aperture closes to F6.5 at the tele end, so daylight is the most comfortable condition. It runs on a dedicated lithium-ion battery with a charger.
Buying one used
Check the dedicated lithium-ion battery for remaining capacity and make sure the charger is present. Extend the 4x lens, inspect the 2.7-inch screen, and test an SD, SDHC or SDXC card.
