About the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W330
Released in January 2010, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W330 pairs a 1/2.3-type CCD of about 14 effective megapixels with a 26-105 mm equivalent lens at F2.7-5.7, a 4x optical zoom. The F2.7 maximum aperture at the wide end is bright for a slim compact, and the 26 mm angle is wide enough for interiors and group photos.
It carries a 3.0-inch screen yet measures only 96 x 57 x 17 mm and weighs about 128 g. The battery is the NP-BN1 and recording goes to SD or SDHC cards. Because the lens retracts into such a thin body, the lens barrel and cover movement deserve a close look when you inspect a used unit.
Buying one used
The battery is the NP-BN1. Check the retracting lens and its cover for smooth movement or scratches, inspect the 3.0-inch screen, and confirm that SD or SDHC cards are read correctly.
