About the Casio Exilim EX-Z33
The Casio Exilim EX-Z33, released in August 2009, is a light 1/2.3-inch CCD compact of about 10 million pixels. Its 35.5-106.5 mm (35mm equivalent) lens runs F3.1-5.6 with a 3x optical zoom. Because the wide end starts at 35.5mm, the view is close to a standard angle, which suits snapshots and portraits better than wide interiors.
The body is 95 x 56 x 18 mm and weighs 106 g, and the monitor is a 2.5-inch LCD. The dedicated battery is the NP-82, and images are recorded on SD / SDHC cards. The 106.5mm end covers moderate telephoto framing, and at 18 mm thick it is one of the slimmer bodies, so it slips easily into a pocket or small bag for everyday use.
Buying one used
The battery is the NP-82, so check how well it holds a charge. Cards are SD / SDHC. As a small body, check the lens movement and the 2.5-inch LCD condition.
