About the Kodak EasyShare Z1275
The Kodak EasyShare Z1275 was released in June 2007 with a 1/1.72-type CCD of about 12 megapixels, a fairly large sensor for its class. The lens covers 35-175 mm in 35 mm terms, a 5x optical zoom, with an aperture range of F2.8-5.1.
The body is 90 x 65 x 32 mm and weighs 211 g. It runs on two AA batteries, with NiMH cells recommended, and saves to SD or SDHC cards. The rear screen is 2.5 inches. An F2.8 start at the wide end helps indoors, while 175 mm reaches distant subjects at school events or on trips. Taken together, the large sensor, bright lens and common battery type make it a practical all-round travel camera.
Buying one used
It runs on two AA batteries, and NiMH cells are recommended. Check the battery contacts for corrosion, confirm that SD or SDHC cards are read, and test that the 5x zoom extends and retracts smoothly.
