The Olympus FE-5020 (X-935) is a compact digital camera from July 2009 whose lens starts at 24 mm. It covers 24-120 mm in 35mm-equivalent terms, a 5x optical zoom at F3.3-5.8, in front of a 1/2.3-inch CCD with about 12 effective megapixels. That wide start gives more room indoors and in tight spaces than cameras that begin at 35 mm.
The body is 93 mm wide, 56 mm high and 25 mm deep, and weighs about 137 g. A 2.7-inch LCD is fitted. It records to SD cards and runs on the dedicated LI-42B lithium-ion battery. The CCD sensor and 5x zoom make it a simple, light compact for general use, with the dedicated battery as the main practical item to check.
