About the Kodak EasyShare Mini
The Kodak EasyShare Mini, released in January 2011, is an ultra-compact camera. It measures 86 x 53 x 18 mm and weighs 99 g, with a 1/3-inch CCD sensor of about 10 megapixels and a 29-87 mm lens in 35mm terms at F3-4.8, a 3x optical zoom.
The monitor is 2.5 inches, images go to SD or SDHC cards, and the battery is a dedicated KLIC-7006. A 1/3-inch sensor is physically small, so the camera favors bright daylight. The 29 mm wide end is natural for everyday snapshots and the 87 mm tele end suits portraits at modest distance. With its 18 mm thickness, it slips easily into a shirt or jacket pocket.
Buying one used
The battery is the dedicated KLIC-7006, and small cells age quickly, so test the runtime. Check the 3x lens movement, inspect the 2.5-inch screen, and confirm SD or SDHC cards record correctly.
