About the Kodak EasyShare V1253
The Kodak EasyShare V1253 arrived in August 2007 with a 1/1.72-type CCD of about 12 megapixels. Its lens covers 37-111 mm in 35 mm terms, a 3x optical zoom with an aperture range of F3.4-5.3.
The standout feature is the 3.1-inch rear screen, a comfortable size for framing shots and reviewing them afterwards. The body measures 102 x 55 x 23 mm and weighs 185 g. Power comes from the Kodak KLIC-7004 lithium-ion battery, and images are saved to SD cards. The 37-111 mm range suits travel and family snapshots. Its 12 megapixels and straightforward SD card slot keep the workflow simple, so it is easy to pick up and shoot without reading a manual first.
Buying one used
The battery is the Kodak KLIC-7004. Since the 3.1-inch screen is the highlight, look for uneven display or scratches, and check that SD cards are read and the lens extends smoothly.
