About the Olympus FE-340 (C-560)
The Olympus FE-340 (C-560) arrived in January 2008 as a compact with a 1/2.35-type CCD of about 8 megapixels effective. Its lens covers 36-180 mm in 35 mm terms, a 5x optical zoom, with an aperture range of F3.5-5.6.
The body measures 97 x 58 x 23 mm and weighs about 156 g, with a 2.7-inch rear screen. It uses the LI-42B lithium-ion battery with a charger, and records to xD-Picture Cards, so standard SD cards will not fit. The range from 36 mm to 180 mm suits travel and family events. The rear screen is a comfortable size for framing and playback, and the included charger keeps the lithium-ion battery easy to manage on trips.
Buying one used
It records to xD-Picture Cards, not SD cards, and the battery is the LI-42B. Check that the card is read correctly, along with the battery compartment and the 2.7-inch screen.
