About the Olympus FE-350
The Olympus FE-350 came out in January 2008 as a wide-leaning compact with a 1/2.5-type CCD of about 8 megapixels effective. Its lens covers 28-112 mm in 35 mm terms, a 4x optical zoom, with an aperture range of F2.7-5.4.
The 28 mm wide end captures group shots indoors and street scenes generously, and the rear screen measures 3 inches. The body is 98 x 56 x 27 mm and weighs about 178 g. It uses the LI-42B lithium-ion battery with a charger and records to xD-Picture Cards. Telephoto stops at 112 mm, so it suits wide-angle use. It fits easily in a hand or bag, and the wide lens makes it a handy choice for cramped rooms where stepping back is not an option.
Buying one used
The 28 mm wide end is the strength, so look for marks and dirt around the lens. The battery is the LI-42B and the card type is xD-Picture Card. Check the 3-inch screen and card reading.
