About the Samsung WB2200F
The Samsung WB2200F is a January 2014 superzoom with a very large lens range for a camera using a 1/2.3-inch BSI-CMOS sensor of about 16 megapixels. The lens covers 20-1200 mm in 35mm-equivalent terms, a 60x optical zoom with an aperture of F2.8 at the wide end and F5.9 at the long end. That spread takes in wide interiors and far-off subjects without a lens change, although framing at full telephoto needs steady technique.
This is a sizeable body: 119 mm wide, 122 mm high and 105 mm deep, about 708 g, so it handles more like a small SLR-style camera. A 3-inch monitor shows the view. Power is the BP-1410 battery, and media are SD, SDHC or SDXC cards.
Buying one used
Check the BP-1410 battery holds its charge and that the camera starts normally. Run the 60x lens fully out and back, test an SD, SDHC or SDXC card, and look over the 3-inch monitor and the grip area.
