About the Samsung WB350F
Samsung released the WB350F in January 2014 as a pocketable travel zoom. A 1/2.3-inch BSI-CMOS sensor of 16 megapixels sits behind a 23-483 mm-equivalent lens, a 21x optical zoom with an F2.8 to F5.9 aperture. The 23 mm wide end is generous for landscapes and interiors, and the long end handles distant subjects from a single lens.
The body is 114 x 65 x 25 mm and weighs 276 g, so it is heavier than a slim compact but still small for this zoom range. Composition and playback use a 3-inch monitor. The SLB-10A battery supplies power, and recording is to SD, SDHC or SDXC cards, which are easy to source and use.
Buying one used
Check the SLB-10A battery still holds charge and that the camera powers up without delay. Test an SD, SDHC or SDXC card, extend the 21x lens fully while listening for noise, and examine the 3-inch monitor for marks.
