About the Panasonic LX100 II
The LX100 II, released in August 2018, pairs a Four Thirds CMOS sensor of about 17 megapixels with a fast 24-75 mm lens in 35mm-equivalent terms. The aperture of F1.7-2.8 and the 3.1x optical zoom point to a camera built for low light and shallow depth of field rather than long reach.
The large sensor and bright lens make it a natural companion for street photography, interiors and evening scenes, though it will not reach distant subjects the way a superzoom does. The body measures 115 x 66 x 64 mm and weighs about 392 g, which is a little heavy for a pocket but light for a Four Thirds camera. It has a 3-inch monitor, runs on the DMW-BLE9 lithium-ion battery, and records to SD, SDHC or SDXC cards.
