About the Kodak EasyShare M1063
The Kodak EasyShare M1063 was released in April 2008 as a slimmer-style compact whose strength is its lens: 32-96 mm equivalent, F2.8-5.1, a 3x optical zoom. It also has a 1/2.33-type CCD of about 10 megapixels and a 2.7-inch monitor.
The body measures 91 x 57 x 21 mm and weighs 175 g. The aperture stays at F5.1 at the telephoto end, and the 32 mm wide end gives a little extra room for group shots and interiors. It is powered by the dedicated KLIC-7001 lithium-ion battery and records to SD or SDHC cards. At the wide end the lens opens to F2.8, which gives some margin in dim rooms.
Buying one used
The battery is the dedicated KLIC-7001, so check that a charger is included. Test the lens from the 32 mm wide end, confirm SDHC card recognition, and inspect the 2.7-inch screen.
