About the Kodak EasyShare M341
The Kodak EasyShare M341, released in July 2009, combines a 1/2.33-inch CCD of about 12 million pixels with a 35-175 mm (35mm equivalent) lens at F3-4.8, a 5x optical zoom. The wide end is a standard 35mm, but the telephoto reaches 175mm, a long reach for a slim body of this period.
The camera measures 96 x 59 x 19 mm, weighs 135 g and has a 3-inch LCD. The aperture only closes to F4.8 at the long end, so distant subjects lose little brightness. It uses the dedicated KLIC-7003 battery and records to SD / SDHC cards. Start from the 35mm wide end for snapshots and use the 175mm end to pick out details from a distance.
Buying one used
The battery is the KLIC-7003, so check how long it holds a charge. Cards are SD / SDHC. Test the 5x lens as it extends and retracts, and inspect the 3-inch LCD.
